VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd is an impartial non-profit Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) that carries out research and innovation activities for the needs of industry and knowledge-based society. In this project VTT, will develop the Lab-to-Field up-scaling tool for bridging the gap between simple model tests and more complicated component tests to speed-up materials up-scaling (WP5).

TEK is a private non-profit research organization that aims at the development and transfer of technology to improve the competitiveness of industry, especially SMEs. The project i-TRIBOMAT involves different TEK units such as Tribology, Intelligent Information Systems, and the Industrial and innovation management. TEK’s background provides expertise in different areas such as material characterisation, condition monitoring and artificial intelligence. TEK will coordinate the definition of the i-TRIBOMAT services catalogue (WP2) and consolidation of the shared infrastructure owned by the consortium members under common test procedures, standards and data transfer protocols (WP3). TEK assumes the secretarial role within EUMAT, and thus is in an excellent position to link i-TRIBOMAT with European Ecosystem Stakeholders (WP7).
Lulea University of Technology - LTU

LTU is a Swedish educational institution with experience in European and National R&D&I projects of high TRL, together with almost all the major Swedish process industries. LTU will coordinate the validation of i-TRIBOMAT services for the resolution of three relevant industrial Use Cases in Transport, Energy and Manufacturing sectors (WP6).
BAM - Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung

BAM (Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung) is a senior scientific and technical German Federal institute with responsibility to the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. BAM is an interdisciplinary centre covering many fields of science and technology tests, tribological testing and development of test procedures among others. BAM therefore advises most of WPs on regulations and standard issues as well as implementation of new test methods as standards, with emphasis on certain tasks of WP4 (IT-platform) and WP6 (Use Cases).
ATOS

ATOS is global leader in digital transformation and the European number one in Big Data, Cybersecurity, High Performance Computing and Digital Workplace. ATOS is a fundamental contributor to the IT-platform (WP4), focusing on Data Management layer to gather data from IoT devices and Tribometers. ATOS will participate in the interoperability components to integrate modelling, simulation and collaboration tools. ATOS will be responsible to define and implement the security mechanisms for the overall i-TRIBOMAT solution, and to define and implement the SEP portal.

GRANTA Design Ltd, a spin-off SME from the University of Cambridge and since 2019 a subsidiary of ANSYS Inc., has a core business of design and development of software products related to materials information management, data, and tools that integrate with CAD/CAE/PLM. GRANTA also produces and maintains several leading data products, including Materials Universe, a database of over 4,000 commercially available engineering materials. In i-TRIBOMAT, GRANTA is responsible for the IT Platform (WP4).

Toyota Motor Europe (TME) coordinates the European activities of the Toyota group. The project i-TRIBOMAT involves the Material Design Department with the aim to liaise with Powertrain Division for testing and validation. TME contributes to one of Use Cases dealing with energy efficiency in WP6.

MOVENTAS Gears Oy is a company that develops and manufactures wind turbine gearboxes and related technologies. Technology and material development have been selected as main tools to reduce the levelised cost of energy (LCoE). MOVENTAS will provide a Use Case for materials up-scaling in large gears and journal bearings (WP6).

TRYGONAL is a SME in the business sector of sealing products for machinery made in engineering rubber, polyurethane, thermoplastics and synthetics. TRYGONAL is working globally in key markets such as food and pharma, automation, mining, railway, heavy hydraulics, shipbuilding, steel, agroindustry and power generators. TRYGONAL contributes to one of Use Cases in WP6.
